What Is Napoletana Sauce?
The Cheesecake Factory Incorporated is a restaurant chain established in the United States of America as well as a manufacturer and distributor of cheesecakes.
Neapolitan sauce, sometimes referred to as Napoli sauce and Napoletana sauce is the common name that is given (outside Italy) to various basic tomato-based sauces, originating from Italian food, usually served on top of or with pasta.
The Neapolitan sauce is simply referred to as “la salsa” in Naples, which means “the sauce.” It literally means to the sauce. Basil, bay leaves oregano, thyme, olives, cloves, and mushrooms can be added in accordance with the taste preference.
Certain variations include celery and carrots. Outside of Italy, the base sauce is vegetarian. However, meat like sausage or minced beef can be included. However, in Italy, the dish that bears Naples as its title is actually a meat sauce known as Neapolitan Ragu.
Many Italians, especially Neapolitans, are unaware of the true meaning of Neapolitan sauce. This can be specified when it comes to recipe names, like”Spaghetti Napolitana” for instance “Spaghetti Napolitana”. The name actually is not even properly pronounced in Italian.
