What Is Carrabba’s?

Carrabba’s Italian Grill (or just Carrabba’s) is a restaurant franchise in the United States that specializes in Italian-American cuisine. Bloomin’ Brands operates and owns it, and its headquarters are in Tampa, Florida.

On the 26th of December 1986, John Charles “Johnny” Carrabba III and his uncle Damian Mandola established the chain. They opened the first restaurant in the Kirby Drive area of Houston, Texas, together. The second location opened shortly after, on the corner between Woodway as well as Voss Road. After a significant expansion and expansion of the establishment, it changed to “Rosie Carrabba’s” in honor of Damian’s sibling Rose. Both of the original Carrabba’s restaurants are still owned by Johnny Carrabba and his family.

In January 1993, ten new Carrabba’s restaurants were launched in Houston and Florida as part of a partnership with Outback Steakhouse, Inc. (the predecessor of Bloomin’ Brands). OSI bought the rights to extend Carrabba’s across the country a year later.

Directions

Mix marinade ingredients together in the gallon-sized Ziploc bag. Then squish the chicken around in the marinade to make sure it’s well coated. Refrigerate it for at least 30 minutes.

After marinating is finished, Heat the grill to high for around 15 minutes. ake the chicken out of the bag and remove it from the marinade. Cook the chicken for 10 to 12 minutes on each side on the grill, or until it reaches an internal temperature of 165 degrees. Adjust the heat of the grill while cooking to ensure there’s some charcoal, but that the meat doesn’t burn or catch fire.

While the chicken is grilling, make the lemon butter sauce. In a skillet, heat butter at medium-high temperature. Incorporate the basil, garlic paste, tomato oil and cook for 1 to 2 mins.

Incorporate lemon juice in the butter mixture. Whisk until it is combined. Reduce the heat to a low level and keep it there. While mixing, slowly add heavy cream over the top. Keep cooking at low heat for about 2 minutes or until the sauce has emulsified well and has thickened slightly. Remove from the heat.

Serve one piece of grilled chicken. Serve a couple of teaspoons of chicken sauce. Add a few spoonfuls of sundried tomatoes, and 1 oz. in goat cheese. Serve with an additional sauce.
