Ronnie Mingua founded the family-owned business Mingua Beef Jerky in the rolling countryside of Bourbon County, Kentucky. He began with the finest cuts of meat and, similar to country ham, preserved his jerky with sodium.
Ronnie is still proud of the fact that he continues to use his time-honored, all-natural recipe to provide his exceptional product to consumers across the nation.
Mingua Beef Jerky is made from parts of beef eye of round that have been dehydrated to prevent spoilage. To stop bacteria from starting to grow before the meat has finished dehydrating, soy sauce, water, brown sugar, liquid smoke, and red pepper flakes are added during this drying process.
