Prepare the Glass:
Moisten the rim of the glass with additional fresh lime juice.
Hold the glass upside down and sprinkle the rim with coarse salt, avoiding getting salt into the drink.
Prepare the Margarita:
In a cocktail shaker, combine ice cubes (enough to fill the glass), gold tequila, fresh lime juice, and triple sec.
Cover the shaker and shake well.
Strain the mixture into the prepared glass and add ice cubes.
Prepare Flaming Garnish:
Cut the lime in half.
Scoop out the inside of one half and cut a disc from it.
Float the lime disc on top of the drink.
Add a little extra gold tequila to the lime disc.
Cut the other lime half into wedges and place one wedge on the rim of the glass.
