Prepare the Glass:

  • Moisten the rim of the glass with additional fresh lime juice.
  • Hold the glass upside down and sprinkle the rim with coarse salt, avoiding getting salt into the drink.

Prepare the Margarita:

  • In a cocktail shaker, combine ice cubes (enough to fill the glass), gold tequila, fresh lime juice, and triple sec.
  • Cover the shaker and shake well.
  • Strain the mixture into the prepared glass and add ice cubes.

Prepare Flaming Garnish:

  • Cut the lime in half.
  • Scoop out the inside of one half and cut a disc from it.
  • Float the lime disc on top of the drink.
  • Add a little extra gold tequila to the lime disc.
  • Cut the other lime half into wedges and place one wedge on the rim of the glass.

To Serve:

  • Light the lime disc on top of the drink using matches or a long utility lighter.
  • Enjoy Flaming Margarita responsibly!
