On a pan, arrange the bacon strips without overlap. (This allows the fat to render slowly, resulting in consistently cooked strips.)
Cook per side of the bacon for 5 to 6 minutes for crispiness over medium heat.
Let the bacon drain on some paper towels and chop the crispy bacon with a knife and set aside.
Cut the broccoli into bite sizes and place them in a large mixing bowl.
Add thinly sliced onion and chopped pecans to the broccoli.
Mix the ingredients with a spoon and set aside.
In a small bowl, add Sugar, Vinegar, and Mayonnaise for dressing.
Mix the ingredients until the sugar is dissolved or well mixed.
Now add the chopped bacon and dressing to the broccoli, onion and pecans mixture.
Use your hands or a spoon to thoroughly combine all of the ingredients.
