  • Preheat your oven to 325°F (163°C).
  • In a bowl, combine all-purpose flour, salt, and sugar. Mix well.
  • Mix the dry ingredients with the canola oil until well combined.
  • Stir in whole milk to form the dough. If the consistency is too moist, add more flour; if it is too dry, add more milk.
  • In a pie pan, press the dough into the bottom and up the sides evenly. Use your thumb to create a decorative edge around the pie crust.
  • To give the pie crust a head start, bake it in the preheated oven for about 5 minutes.
  • In a separate bowl, combine all-purpose flour, cocoa powder, and sugar. Mix well.
  • Add the beaten eggs and vanilla extract to the cocoa mixture. Stir until thoroughly combined.
  • Pour in the melted butter and mix well.
  • Stir in chopped pecans until evenly distributed throughout the filling.
  • Take the partially baked pie crust out of the oven and pour the chocolate filling into it.
  • Return the pie to the oven and bake at 325°F (163°C) for approximately 40-45 minutes. Check for doneness by inserting a skewer into the center of the pie; it should come out clean or with just a little bit of chocolatey residue.
  • Once the pie is fully cooked, remove it from the oven and let it cool for a while.
  • Serve the chocolate fudge pie warm or at room temperature. You can optionally top each slice with a scoop of ice cream for added deliciousness.
