For Broccoli:

  • Begin by cutting the broccoli into smaller bites.
  • Next, put your broccoli pieces into a skillet with three cups of water, then add salt and pepper, most likely approximately a teaspoon each.
  • Bring the water to a boil over high heat.
  • When the water has reached a boil then cover the pan with a lid and allow it to boil for 6-8 minutes.
  • After the time has passed take the water out and add butter, allowing the butter to melt.
  • It is best to mix the broccoli into the butter.
  • Add parmesan and garlic, and make sure that everything is coated with it.
  • Serve with lemon butter sauce.

For Lemon Butter Sauce:

  • In a small saucepan, melt the butter over low heat. Add salt and garlic and cook for a minute.
  • Take it off the heat and add the juice of a lemon.
  • Serve using freshly crushed pepper, and then sprinkle with red pepper and parsley, if desired.
  • Serve with Longhorn Steakhouse Broccoli!

Notes

This recipe can be made vegetarian by using vegan butter. Since vegan butter is already salted, you can eliminate the salt and add seasoning according to suit your taste.
