  • On a pan, arrange the bacon strips without overlap. (This allows the fat to render slowly, resulting in consistently cooked strips.)
  • Cook per side of the bacon for 5 to 6 minutes for crispiness over medium heat.

  • Let the bacon drain on some paper towels and chop the crispy bacon with a knife and set aside.
  • Cut the broccoli into bite sizes and place them in a large mixing bowl.
  • Add thinly sliced onion and chopped pecans to the broccoli.
  • Mix the ingredients with a spoon and set aside.
  • In a small bowl, add Sugar, Vinegar, and Mayonnaise for dressing.
  • Mix the ingredients until the sugar is dissolved or well mixed.
  • Now add the chopped bacon and dressing to the broccoli, onion and pecans mixture.
  • Use your hands or a spoon to thoroughly combine all of the ingredients.
