  • Place American cheese as well as whole milk into a pan at medium temperature.
  • Cook and stir the cheese until it has melted and combined.
  • Include green chilies along with juice, chopped garlic and garlic salt, and onions.
  • Until onions are transparent, stir and simmer.
  • Get rid of the heat.
  • Add diced tomatoes, and mix well.
  • Garnish with diced tomatoes and cilantro.

Notes

It may be beneficial to add more milk or cream to the queso to make it more pliable. If you have to heat this, it’s recommended to cook it over a stove. You can also reheat it in the microwave.
